Pour like a pro and turn some heads with this super portable high quality mini keg set. Put any drink in the keg, pressurise with the mini reg (gas canisters sold separately) then clip on the tap and pour!
Perfect for the Beer lover to fill up at local breweries & tap rooms, or fill with your favorite mixer - G&T, Bourbon & coke, Aperol Spritz - all on tap!
Or just full with Soda and juice for the kids (c:
And of course perfect for the budding home brewer to keg their brew and take with them to show off to their mates. If you are sick of bottling home brew and have yet to try kegging then this is the easy way to go - keg, carb and drink your beer they day after its finished fermenting - no more waiting 2 weeks!
Short and stumpy at 17.5cm diameter and 36cm tall, this is the perfect size for throwing in a chilly bin and taking to the park.
We find that the 4L Johnson Mini Kegs are great as they fit in many fridge doors and easily lying down on a fridge shelf however they can be a bit tall to stand upright in most standard sized chilly bins. (if you have a large chilly bin then the 4L may fit. You would need 43cm of depth to fit the 4L keg with a double ball lock top on it and only 36cm depth to fit the 5L keg)
These stubby little fellas are a perfect fit for most large chilly bins (keep an eye out for our soon to come jockey box kit, 2 x 5L kegs in a chilly bin with taps on the front!)
These kegs are even tougher than the rest of our range being made of a slightly thicker sheet of 304 stainless steel and as is always the case they have been passivated and the thread fits all our tapping systems. These are designed to last a lifetime!
Hi I brought a 5L & 2L keg. Should the internal tube be cut or lift full length and do you sell spare tubes.
Hi Tony,
Thanks for the message,
Yes the dip tube should be cut to just shy of the height of the keg.
& Yes we sell extra silicon tube by the meter Here
Cheers, Andrew.
Hi, Whats the best way to fill these
Hi Matt -
The Kegs can be filled stright from the tap - with a tube installed on the tap so it fills from the bottom up. The Breweries/tap rooms know how to do this. Cool the empty keg down to fridge temp too first if you can - this helps prevent foam when filling it. Once you put the double ball lock top on the keg then no more air will get in and you can purge with co2 using the mini reg and the release valve on the top. The Breweries can also purge the empty keg with co2 if they like. Or some even do pressure transfers like what is done when filling commercial kegs. But from tap is usually sufficent. (c: Enjoy!
Cheers.
What would be the best way to fill the i keg mini if I took it to our local brewary, should it be filled in a specific way to prevent and tarnishing of taste.

Is there pressure reduction built into the tap so it doesn't pour foamy? Without the line length and friction, how does the pressure reduction for the tap work?
Hi Forest -
Our systems are designed to pour at around 4-5psi which results in a great pour. When storing a part full keg after a session we suggest to raise to 10-12PSI to keep the carbonation level in the beer constant. The drop again to 4-5psi when pouring again.
We do have Flow Control Taps avaliable if you are wanting to pour at 10-12psi and not have to change pressures. Either way works well.
Cheers -
Andrew.
