We have new soda stream adapters that screw directly into the base of our mini co2 regulators. Just turn the reg off - screw in the sodasatream adapter and then add your soda stream or paintball bottle. Easy!
The male thread on these is 3/8-24UNF which is the same as our 16g threaded co2 canisters.
This adapter should fit any mini reg that used 16g threaded co2 canisters or has a 3/8-24UNF inlet.
We still have the older 5/8-18UNF male threaded (74g) version of our sodastream adapter if you have one of our regulators from an order pre 2018 which would have come with a 5/8 female thread converter. These were handy if you were using 74g to 36g co2 canisters which have a 5/8 thread, or 18g nitrogen canisters if you can find them...
If you want a 5/8 female thread converter let us know - we have the, here for $5 a piece and they will fit on our mini regs.
We also have a full size regulator sodastream adapter as well that has a Type30 co2 bottle valve male thread to sodastream female thread.
Select your desired size from the drop down box to the side.
These custom made brass adapters allow you to use a Sodastream bottle or Paintball cylinder with our Pro Mini Regulators only.
**Note - Our Sodastream adapters look similar to other SS adapters for full size regulators on the market but they are a different thread. If you want to use a Sodastream cylinder with our mini regulators you will need one of our Sodastream adapters which we have had made specifically for these mini regs.
**We do have Full size reg Sodastream adapters if you want them. Select from the list to the side.
**If you want to use the 74g version of this adapter you will need a spare larger chrome plated adapter which needs to be switched onto the reg in order to use the 74g Sodastream adapter. Let us know if you need one of these.
A 30L Soda Stream bottle holds the equivalent of 17 x 16g disposable cartridges and can be swapped for a full one for about $11-$15 from your nearest supermarket or retailer (see this map for your closest exchange location)
These are much more cost effective than 16g canisters while still being portable and small enough to fit in the fridge if you are force carbonating.
As you can see in the pictures, by using either a stainless steel disconnect with a 19L corny keg or a plastic disconnect with the 4L keg you still have a compact solution.
THIS ADAPTER PRESSES THE GAS RELEASE VALVE ON THE SODA STREAM BOTTLE OR PAINTBALL TANK.
MAKE SURE THE REGULATOR IS IN THE OFF POSITION BEFORE ATTACHING A GAS SUPPLY
MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE ADAPTER ONTO THE REGULATOR THEN SCREW IN THE SODA STREAM BOTTLE.
The adapter comes pre-set - you should not have to adjust the set screw, however If no gas is releasing when connected you can use a correct sized Hex/Allen Key to screw the adapters set screw out further and test again.
Assembly Instructions & Use:
Is it safe to unscrew/remove a sodastream bottle still with gas in it? It feels really tight now - I just hand-tightened it on, but to get it off I'd need to use a wrench. It's probably not ideal leaving the regulator on the bottle pressurised for a long time...
Yes that is fine. Use two wrenches, one wrench to hold the brass Sodastream adapter and one wrench to unscrew the cylinder from the adapter. There will be a small hiss of gas that escapes when unscrewing which is normal. The Sodastream bottle seales itself so all good there.
Do you have regulators that take 1/2" UNF. I have a supply of co2 canisters that have this thread.
Hi Justin -
Unfortunatly not sorry - we only have 3/8 and 5/8
If you want we can check the avalibility of an adapter for you. Send us your details to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like us to look into that for you.
Hi, The description says this adapter is specific to your mini regulators. Would i be correct in assuming that it should work with any regulator that accepts the same 16g CO2 bulbs? i picked up a 5L IKEGGER mini keg with the taps etc from my local homebrew store, very similar to your brewers kit package (wish i had seen yours before buying). Anyway the mini regulator that i got looks a little different (mine is probably cheap / lower quality, w no option for type 30) It still accepts the same CO2 bulbs. any reason it wouldn't work? Thanks
Hi Ross -
Yes - if your mini reg takes 16g co2 bulbs this this will fit (c:
