For those of you that love a stout on nitrogen or the quickly growing demand for nitro cold brew coffee or cocktails on tap then this is the kit for you.

If you have any specific requirements or would like to discuss this with us then give us a call or email anytime.

The same regulator can be switched between either CO2 or N2 (10mm thread disposable cylinders only) allowing you to carbonate an IPA one day and pour a perfect stout the next.

These bottles need a different regulator to the professional mini one that comes as standard with our kits. The required regulator can be included or not using the options above the Add To Cart button.

The regulator is a high pressure capable dual gauge that shows the pressure inside the gas bottle as well as inside the keg.

The bottles have a valve in them that closes when you disconnect the regulator so you can switch between gases whenever you choose.

The options here are:

  • Regulator & Nitrogen Bottle
  • Just Regulator
  • Just Nitrogen Bottle

If you would like to buy a keg package that normally includes the mini regulator but swap it for one of these regulators and gas bottles send us an email to info@ikegger.co.nz and we will organise an package for you with the changes made.

CO2: If you would like CO2 cylinders to fit these as well let us know and we will sort some out for you.

Shown above : 4L keg package with Intertap & stout spout, dual gauge reg and nitrogen bottle in place of mini regulator and normal CO2

  • Is it easy to set up if you're a beginner you've never used one of these before (the tank and regulator)? Do you need special technical knowledge or are there instructions online?

    Hi Maria
Yes - Pretty easy to setup and run.  We have instructions on line too.
If you have any specific questions you can give us a call or email directally. Happy to help out.
    Cheers
    Andrew.

  • I have a WT Farley nitrogen regulator will it fit on this bottle

    Hi there.
If it has a 10mm threaded female inlet port then yes it should fit.
If you want to send through some images to info@ikegger.co.nz to help confirm then go for it.
    Cheers.

  • What is the new brand of nitrogen? And also is it dry nitrogen (no water in the formula)? Thank you

    Hi Louise -
he Brand is Tesuco - They are Italian made. Min 99.995% pure nitrogen.  I would say yes no water in them. Here is a link : http://www.tesuco.com.au/media/84646/DIS_CY_NI_V03.pdf Thanks - anything else you need let us know. Cheers.

  • Hello. Can this size gas cylinder be transported safely in a car? Thanks!

Yes for sure - its only the size of a 2L soda bottle. Always good to pack things well when transporting however.

  • Hello I really want to use nitro. On my stout , I have a kegg 10 from WW, and would like to know what do I need to add nitro.👍thanks

Hi Alex - Thanks for the message - All you would need is the $200 kit above (cylinder and gas) It comes with a gas line and disconenct do you can clip it directally onto your keg for serving.  When not serving you will need to clip your co2 line back on to keep the keg from loosing carbonation.  We can also supply a full size nitrogen reg and re-fillable cylinder but they you would be looking in the $450+ range.  OUr mini kit here is more portable and a good way to try nitro out.   Let me know if we can be of any further help. Cheers.

  • Hello, I'm currently working on a food product and need to use liquid nitrogen. I have no idea where to look because I'm only after a cylinder to sample how it would work with my product. Any advice on where I can get a relatively small cannister to start with? Many thanks, Katie Allan

Hi Katie -  Liquid nitrogen is quite different to compressed gas nitrogen.  We only stock the compressed gas type. Normally liquid nitrogen is held in a special cryo container. They are rather pricey too. Give these guys a call and ask them where you can get them filled.  Or maybe rent one from them?
http://www.cryocontainers.co.nz/ or You could try giving coregas.co.nz a call as they say on their website they deal with liquid gasses.   Or BOC or maybe some pharmaceutical establishments may have smaller amounts. or www.airliquide.com/new-zealand or one of the local universities.. Best of luck!
    Andrew.

  • can I use the mini regulator 0n a type D nitrogen bottle and could I fit a flow meter by removing one of the gauges?

No this mini reg cant be used on a full size nitrogen bottle.  You will need a type 50 regulator for that. Like this:

    https://www.ikegger.co.nz/collections/nitro-kits/products/nitrogen-regulator-mk4-type-50-n2-dual-gauge

Yes you could fit a flow meter if you had the right size thread on it  - if only a low flow needed though you get away with using the reg as it is with the PSI guage

  • can a flow meter be attached to this?

Edit - Hi Andy - We are looking at a local supplier who may be able to put flow meters on full size Nitrogen regs for us for use with full size re-fillabel cylinders.  If you still need one let me know.

Original: If you already have your own flow meter then sure it could be added on no probs.

  • Hi, How many litres of nitrogen are in this bottle? Cheers

Hi James - Details below:  Cheers

    2.2L of Nitrogen (tank capacity)
    Gas Volume 0.22m3
