Pressure Test note:
When using this vessel under pressure. You must perform a water pressure check to ensure your connections are leak proof. To do this. Fill your FermZilla up with water, then apply a minimum of 15psi pressure to the vessel. Check for leaks around all Cap / Threads.

Occasionally these units may come with some small indentations/dimples/dents from shipping, this is just a reality of shipping large blow-moulded thin-walled vessels. But don't panic, these fermenters are designed to endure minor deformations such as this. This was a necessary implementation into the design so that they can withstand some accidental suction from cold crashing and rough handling in transit without compromising their integrity and ability to endure high pressures. All small dents will push out and settle with use and positive pressure and are only an issue and warrant replacement in the rare event they start to show white stress patterns or have damaged the plastic.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • What would you suggest to use as a heat source for the fermzilla ? As i am looking at getting this package

    Hi Jason -

    There are a few options.

There is a coil that fits inside the fermzilla - but you would need to then pump warm liquid through that (or cold liquid)  so quite a few other parts you would need there.

There is an insulation jacket that helps keep in the heat produced from fermentation - good for colder months.

Or a heat belt that can go directly around the fermzilla - this is best is you are not putting the fermzilla in a temp controlled chamber

Or a heat pad if you have the fermzilla in a temp controlled chamber ie fridge with temp controller.  This is what is most comonly used as the fridge also acts as the cooling source too when needed.

Let me know which one you want to go for there - Happy to take a call to discuss if you like.
    Cheers.

  • Hi folks, Could you swap out the 16g CO2 regulator the one that fits the 2.2kg disposable tanks? Like https://www.ikegger.co.nz/products/nitrogen-2l-disposable-bottle?_pos=1&_sid=a23d39f4f&_ss=r&variant=34987949637 Cheers, J

    Hi Joe -
We sure can. The link you refered to however is for our portable Nitrogen tanks. Let us know if you were meaning nitrogen or wanted co2 (slightly different regulators).  We can quote you up a price once we know. Cheers.

  • Hi there. I have a Fermentasaurus and currently use a large CO2 bottle and regulator to transfer to keg. To avoid having to disconnect my gas bottle and regulator from my Kegerator I'd like to transfer using just a sodastream bottle (so basically the setup in the picture of the Fermentasaursus above. So would I just need the Sodastream bottle, mini regulator and Sodastream Adaptor? Cheers Nic

Hi Nic - Ye that is all you would need as well as a gas disconnect. :  Mini Reg, Disconnect, Soda stream Adapter and Sodastream Bottle. We have the reg and disconnect as a package here: https://www.ikegger.co.nz/products/mini-co2-regulator?variant=1543432044574 Then just add a soda stream adapter to your order as well. At present we have no sodastream bottles in stock but you can get them from Briscoes or any good hardward store. Let me know if you have any further questions. Cheers
