REFRACTOMETER - Measure OG - Gravity - Brix

A great tool for any brewer - all-grain or extract.

Refractometers are used for measuring the viscosity of liquid or specific gravity or Brix of unfermented wort. They are like a hydrometer but only need a few drops of wort to make a reading. No more filling and cooling trial jars...

A refractometer allows you to check the gravity of your brew as you go so you can make adjustments if needed. Take gravity measurements anytime during the brewing process. Use while mashing or during the boil or once the boil is finished.

The display on these offers both Specific Gravity & Brix % values, and has automatic temperature compensation (ATC).

To use, lift the cover lid and apply 2-3 drops to the prism face, close the cover and try to make sure no bubbles are trapped. Wait a few seconds then look through the eye-piece while pointing the refractometer towards light. The line on the screen will show the Brix % and Specific Gravity reading. Twist the eye piece to focus the view.

Includes a pipette/eye dropper, adjustment tool and hard case
